Finishes

All items are finished by hand, and treated with a natural sealer and then layers of paste wax. This provides a natural finish that mirrors natural steel finishes found throughout France.

"Pewter look" Finish

Our "pewter look" finish is darker compared to the polished finish and contains small traces of black coloring, that occurs naturally on the metal. The "pewter look" finish is more of an antique and traditional finish.

"Polished" Finish

Our polished finish is a brighter finish that is similar to stainless steel. The finish is more contemporary compared to the "pewter look" finish.

"Blackened Steel" Finish

Our blackened steel finish is achieved by applying a chemical agent onto polished steel. This chemical agent etches into the steel making a permanent blackened finish. The blackened steel finish is very similar to blackened iron.

Bronze Patina

Our bronze patina finish is achieved by applying a chemical agent onto polished steel. This chemical agent etches into the steel making a permanent finish. The patina finishes have more texture compared to polished steel. A chemical reaction occurs to create the finish. Slight variations will occur.

Green Bronze

Our green bronze patina finish is achieved by applying a chemical agent onto polished steel. This chemical agent etches into the steel making a permanent finish. The patina finishes have more texture compared to polished steel. A chemical reaction occurs to create the finish. Slight variations will occur.

Golden Pewter

Our golden pewter finish is achieved by applying a chemical agent onto polished steel. This chemical agent etches into the steel making a permanent finish. The patina finishes have more texture compared to polished steel. A chemical reaction occurs to create the finish. Slight variations will occur.

Brushed Pewter

Our brushed "pewter look" finish is not as bright as polished steel. Additionally, the finish has more texture compared to our polished steel and "pewter-look" finishes. Slight variations can occur, especially when the finish is applied to solid steel versus hollow steel.

Brass

Our brass accents are polished by hand. They are not lacquered. The brass can be allowed to age naturally or polished with a brass cleaner.
